Kiwifruit: Increase in volumes harvested and sold in the northern hemisphere expected

According to Nick Kirton, Executive Officer - Northern Hemisphere Supply, the Northern Hemisphere sales program has just started, and Zespri expects to sell around 29 million trays, or just over 100,000 tons of Zespri kiwifruit from orchards in France, Italy, Greece, South Korea and Japan. 

 

This season, sales volumes of green kiwifruit should remain stable compared with the previous season, but sales of SunGold kiwifruit should increase by +25%.

 

For over 20 years, Zespri has partnered with around 1,500 growers and suppliers who play a key role in the company's global sourcing strategy, which aims to supply Zespri kiwifruit for all 12 months of the year.
