Sales of ready-to-eat vegetables in Spain increased by 8.8% in the first two months of 2008 compared to the same period last year, according to data released by AFHORLA association, part of producers-exporters’ association FEPEX.
Overall 9,918 tons of ready-to-eat vegetables were marketed throughout Spain, figure that shows the “positive trend this industry is experiencing in Spain”, AFHORLA highlights.
AFHORLA held lost month in Valencia a meeting from which the necessity emerged to get a legislative pattern regulating the production and trade of fresh convenience products. This is to avoid intrusiveness in the sector.
