Cherrie yield in Poland is predicted to be poor this year
Cherries yield in Poland is expected to be poorer than it have been forecasted by the agricultural specialists last year.
According to the data provided by the local analysts, this year winter with hard frosts, heavy snowfalls and frequent frosts during the first part of the spring, all together will prevent harvesting of rich crops of cherries during this season in Poland. Because of unfavorable weather conditions and low temperatures in winter, trees were covered with not so many blossoms. As a result polish fruit producers will get 25% less cherries than it has been expected earlier this year.
In order to meet the demand of polish consumers for cherries there will be more fruits imported from other countries comparing to the last season figures.
