Subsidies For Fruit Trees Growers

Twelve thousand fruit trees hectares will elligible for restructuring subsidies between 2006 and 2011. This amounts to over six percent of total orchard areas for these fruit-tree varieties in 2006. As much as 15% of the removal and replanting costs will be subsidized with payments of up to 11,000 Euros per hectare for apple, pear,cherry, and plum orchards and up to 10,000 Euros per hectare for peach and nectarine orchards.
