Florette makes large investments in Spain

Florette, specializing in marketing of vegetables and salads ready to use, makes large investments in Spain.

The largest greenhouse of Spain with a  5 million euros budget will be based near Cadreita. The first phase began with 150,000 m2. The facilities will reach next summer  350,000 m2 expected production of 1,300 tons of vegetables.

This will almost double the annual production of Florette in Spain. All of these crops will go to the production of  4th range products for Spain and Portugal markets.

At the beginning of next year, a new unit of production and processing  of salad  will open in Ingenio, on the Canary Islands.

Covering an area of 1,200 m2, this new unit will have a production capacity of 2 million bags of salad a year. The production start is planned for April 2011.
