The 2022/23 Chilean cherry export season began with the first shipments made through the Seaspan Brightness and Kota Lestari ships, both destined for Asia, reports Terminal Pacífico Sur Valparaíso (TPS).

Chilean cherries are highly appreciated in the Asian market due to the Chinese New Year celebrations that will be held on January 22, 2023. Due to this, the peak of the campaign is expected to begin in early December. This 6-week period will be challenging for all the actors in the Valparaíso port logistics system, and for this reason they have prepared to jointly meet the strong demand in less time and efficiently.
