Promotion of fruit and vegetables at airports

Spanish airports saw unprecedented promotional campaign for fruits and vegetables.
The Department of Environment and Rural Affairs (MARM) developed a unique promotional campaign for Spanish fruit and vegetables. Targeting foreign tourists visiting Spain, the campaign took place in five airports in the 22 to 28 July.
At airports in Barcelona, Malaga, Tenerife, Alicante and Palma de Mallorca, foreign visitors had the possibility to taste the products and receive information. The campaign was able to reach an estimated audience of 1.5 million passengers in Europe.
Brits, French and Germans, which represented 60% of tourists visiting Spain in July 2010, participated prominently in the promotion.
