Fyffes to acquire Swedish distributor

Irish food group Fyffes has announced that it is to acquire leading Swedish distributor Everfresh. Fyffes will initially buy a 60 percent stake in Everfresh, with the remaining 40 percent to be acquired in 2007. The final sum paid depends on Everfresh's performance in the three years to December 2006, but is limited to a maximum of EUR 77.6 million. Everfresh had sales of EUR 300 million in 2003.
