Endinava offers organic figs grown in Spain
VU | Endinava S.A.T.
Endinava has been in the Spanish fruit and vegetable sector for more than 40 years. It is a family business located in the Ribera de Navarra, Spain.
Since its creation Endinava was focused on production of fresh endive. In 2012, the second generation of the family started a new project: lettuce grown in pools of water, the product sold with roots to keep it fresh for longer.
In just over a year, Endinava has diversified its offer with various types of live lettuces such as Lollo, Batavia, Oak Leaf and the famous Salanova® Trocadero, which were well accepted in the market by consumers.
In 2017, they presented their new organic fig project, which this year 2021 will give its first results. They planted several hectares of Ecological Figs using innovative cultivation techniques to obtain the best possible product, at the same time respecting the environment to the maximum, both in cultivation, in collection, as well as in packaging and transport.
Endinava has Ecological Certification, GlobalG.A.P and GRASP.
Carlos Menchaca, export manager at Endinava, commented: “Regarding the calendar, fig season is expected to start in the first week of July, and last from 3 to 4 weeks, and then the fig comes in September and October. It is a seasonal product, with 6-7 weeks of campaign”.
