CMA CGM expects the expansion of the Panama Canal and is signing an agreement to expand the container terminal in the port of Kingston Jamaica.
The Memorandum of Understanding with the Port of Kingston has been signed for a minimum period of 35 years. The project involves the operation, equipment and expansion of container terminal at Gordon Cay in Kingston Harbour.

Once operational, the terminal will have a Gordon Cay dock 1300m at first, which may be increased to 1700m to accommodate the new vessels. CMA CGM plans to make it Kingston's hub for the Caribbean region.
This project is a strategic investment for CMA CGM and illustrates the Group's desire to anticipate changes that will result from the expansion of the Panama Canal.
