China has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with EUREPGAP to develop its own ChinaGAP standards.
The Chinese Certification and Accreditation Administration recently signed the MOU on technical cooperation with EUREPGAP and will eventually lead to a ChinaGAP standard that is equivalent to EurepGAP, boosting the status of Chinese products on the world market.
Currently China exports only about 2 percent of its total fresh produce production.
