Kazakhstan: vegetable wholesale-retail base to be constructed in Pavlodar

The wholesale-retail base with vegetable storages will be created in Pavlodar, Kazinform informs. Twenty five hectares have been already allocated for the base construction.
Vegetable storages will be launched for the local farms most of which do not possess specialized warehouses. Vegetable producers used to sell the grown harvest outside the region. The city vendors trade imported vegetables and potato by mid winter.
The increased capacity of vegetable storages let the producers provide the citizens with the locally grown vitamin products till the new harvest and prevent the sharp seasonal price jumps on the markets of the region. According to the regional program, ten thousands tons of potato and vegetables out of the harvest of 75,000 tons of local produce were loaded to storages past year for the winter period.
