A study announces that the world market for mushrooms is expected to register an annual growth rate of 7% over the next 7 years and grow by approximately 34.7 billion USD over the period.
According to the study compiled by ResearchAndMarkets, the global mushroom market is expected to reach a turnover of 83.5 billion USD in 2030. That is an increase of 34.7 billion USD compared to the 48.8 billion USD estimated for 2022.
The study estimates that the global mushroom market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CGAR) of 7% over the period 2022-2030. The button mushroom segment is expected to register a growth rate of 6.9% and reach USD 51.7 billion in 2030, the Shiitake mushroom segment is expected to register a growth rate of 7.4%.
In 2030 the mushroom market should reach 19.1 billion USD in China (growth rate 11.2%) and in the United States 13.3 billion USD. The Asia-Pacific region market is expected to reach USD 11.6 billion. In Europe, the market in Germany is expected to experience a growth rate of 4.1%.
