Success for Alimentaria 2002

Alimentaria 2002, the International Food and Drink Show held in Barcelona last month, was a success and even exceeded the organisers' hopes. This event, which has consolidated its position as the second food show in the world, gathered more than 3 000 exhibitors and 141 000 professional visitors from 80 countries, on 86 000 m² exhibition. 80% of the international buyers came from EU and an important number of foreign visitors came from Latin America to conduct encounters between professionals of both continents.
