Peru avocados and asparaguses soon on Chinese market

Peru avocados and asparaguses wait for the approval of Peking to make their entrance on the Chinese market.

Peru hopes that its avocados and asparaguses can soon enter on the Chinese market.

Both vegetables wait for the approval of the Chinese Health Office which should be determined in next months.

"Asparaguses and avocados would have a strong demand in China, we work to obtain the sanitary licences which will admit us on this big market ".

Sanitary authorizations could intervene in 2011. Peru already has authorizations for export of fruits as grapes, mangoes and citrus fruits.

For these last 10 years, business between Peru and China increased. Perspectives of business are even better with the bilateral agreements set up since March 1st.
