An increase of 15% is expected for exports
FJ
In Brazil, the region "Vale do São Francisco" is one of the largest producers of mangoes and table grapes countries.
The region plans to export about 185 000 tonnes of fruit at the end of this year. The volume will exceed by 15% in volume shipped last year. This "boom" would be expected subsequent to the new conditions, very positive, of the international market.
The rise of the US dollar is seen as a spring to stimulate international trade. The other important point is the agreement of the United States to accept imported mangoes with a weight of 900 gr. ; so far the US only imported mangoes of 650 gr.
