The 2013/14 export campaign was slightly down compared to the previous year, which benefited from earlier harvests.
The new export campaign 2013/14 records retreated results compared to the previous one.
According to predicted export figures cited by Tuinbouw for the period from 22 July to 10 November the onion exports totaled 303 million pounds.
Compared to the same period of camaign 2012/13, it is more than 47 million pounds less. Campaign 2012/13 started 2 weeks and 10 November had already recorded 371 million pounds exported.
The main customers of Dutch onions are Senegal, the United Kingdom, Mali and Malaysia.
