BASF will conduct new field trials of GM potatoes in Europe.
BASF will continue its field trials in Europe.
BASF Plant Science will make new field trials of genetically optimised potatoes in Europe. The field trials will be held in Germany (Sachsen-Anhalt), Sweden (regions of Skåne, Halland) and the Netherlands
(Gelderland, Drenthe, Noord-Brabant).
With European public opinion against GM vegetables, BASF is concentrating on North America and South Asian markets. Keeping its options open, BASF continues processes in Europe for Amadea, Modena and Fortuna varieties.
