Chinese organic industry continues to grow

According to China's Organic Food Association, the country now has almost 3,000 organic food companies. The Association said that sales volumes in the domestic market totalled over US$10 billion between 1990 and 2004 and that exports during this period were US$1.25 billion. 16 provinces in China have set up pilot organic food projects.
