The agricultural sector in Macedonia should benefit from the Russians sanctions by increasing its exports.
An official of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia sees an opportunity to increase exports of the country. With this large and profitable market where demand is growing, Macedonia can boost the volume of its exports, especially fruits and vegetables.
Last year, the Macedonia-Russia trade was estimated at 195 M USD which 9.6 M USD for agricultural products and food.
During the first 6 months of 2014, Russia was ranked 10th position trading partners of Macedonia. This classification could be upset by the end of the year.
