The consortium “Consorzio delle Buone Idee" has changed its name to "Patata Italiana di Qualità" - Italian quality potatoes Potato Quality Italian Consortium" to better reflect its core values??.
Established in 2000, the consortium "Consorzio delle Idee Buone" set the goal of promoting the production in the Bologna area. The name change to "Consorzio di Qualità Patata Italiana" was needed to clarify the goal that the consortium
intends to pursue.
Today, the consortium includes 16 partners, (2 producer organizations, cooperatives and four 10 private traders) and approximately 320 producers for about 50,000 tons of potatoes produced in 2011.
Selenella, a potato that is 100% Italian, is the leader in packed potatoes with 15% market share.
