ICA to cut 500 jobs

ICA, the Scandinavian grocery group, has announced that it will cut 500 jobs in Sweden and Norway. The job cuts will take place in 2005 and 2006 as part of a cost reduction plan in the face of increased competition. ICA is 60 percent owned by Ahold.
