Brussels expects the results of analysis carried out in Andalusia, the supposed origin of the contamination.
After Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Denmark, the Czech Republic has announced several cases of contamination.
European experts are now talking about an epidemic in Germany where more than 300 cases were reported and 10 people have died. Cucumbers imported from Spain carrying a bacteria killer are the cause.
Brussels has sent teams to collect samples in Andalucia looking for where the contamination occurred.
