Average prices for apples are record high in Ukraine

According to the recent information, average wholesale prices for apples are record high in Ukraine this season. Based on the statistics data, apples costs have rallied up to 8 UAH kg within July 2014 – May 2015 period, while last season fruits prices remained at 5 UAHkg level during the same period. It stands to mention that apples prices have not gone down even once during current season. Due to high export demand, even at the harvesting stage prices for apples have soared up by 20-25% comparing to the August-October 2013. During winter period, apples prices have rallied up by 30-35%, while in spring price knock has reached 50% difference comparing to the 2014 season numbers.
