The food trade balance is now in surplus

New proof of the dynamism of the Tunisian agricultural sector : the food trade balance is in surplus .

The Department of Agriculture found that the food trade balance has recorded a surplus of 184.1 million dinars during the first 4 months of 2015. While a deficit of 600 million dinars had been observed last year.

Exports recorded 140% , those of dates + 38 % and + 15% of citrus fruits , while imports grew by 7.7% . The ministry said the trade surplus due to the increase of revenues from olive oil exports ( 928.4 million dinars in 2015 against 104.2 million in 2014) .
