Transporters strike of fruits and vegetables of Antalya

70 percent of fruits and vegetables that are on the market of  Istanbul come from Antalya.

Drivers, represented by 10 cooperatives, protest against petroleum increases while freight rates have not increased and against  the prohibition on large tonnage trucks passing over the suspensded bridge "Fatih Sultan Mehmet" in Istanbul during the day.

The authorities of the Halles of Istanbul are worried because this strike is likely to increase the prices for fruits and vegetables in the markets.
