Significant investments in tomatoes processing

In the Italian region of Campania, the tomato processing industry provides an extensive modernization plan.

A development contract was signed by eight companies operating in Campania and Invitalia to improve the production chain of processed tomatoes . The total investment will be 26.5 million euros, including 16.1 million granted by Invitalia .

This investment will increase the efficiency and environmental performance of factories, reducing energy costs and water consumption . This modernization of the production chain will better combat competition in international markets, while strengthening the position of the Campania region known worldwide as a leading manufacturer of tomato products.
