Cuba is one of the leading countries for the consumption of Fruits & Vegetables

MarcoTradeNews resumed a study conducted by the National Geographic who compiled the data from FAOSTAT , the Organization for Statistics Division of the Food and Agriculture.
According to these data , China is leading the world rankings . The share of Fruits & Vegetables is 56% of the total weight of the food ration per capita. Much of this rate is composed of vegetables.
For Cuba , the share of Fruit & Vegetables in the average per capita consumption represents almost half of the total diet .In contrast, Fruits & Vegetables represent only 27% of the average food intake in the US , 33% in the UK and 25 % in Mexico.
