FOODINVEST proposes alternative supply during all seasons
Present as an exhibitor in Asia Fruit Logistica, Adriaan du Toit from FOODINVEST South Africa has seen “an incredible demand and success in China.”
He adds:
“This year, I can see a change. This is certainly the result of our ambitious strategy to have different and complimentary offices in Italy, then in Chile and in 2011: in South Africa. We are able to propose alternative supply for a full basket of fresh produce, during all seasons. This gives us a much-appreciated relation with our customers. We are not 100% tied with a special origin, therefore we can propose and recommend different options depending on the crops.”
Questioned about next forecast, Adriaan explained that heavy rain in South Africa at the beginning of September could affect next peach and grapes season.
Next step for Foodinvest will be to set up additional offices in China and Spain.
