The world index for food security sees Chile in top position among Latin American countries.
The list is developed by the EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit) and DuPont to examine the accessibility, availability and quality of food in different countries. Chile has achieved the maximum score (100) for its food standards.
Chile occupies
26th place overall, well ahead of other Latin American countries. Mexico ranks 30th, Brazil 31st, Argentina 32nd, Peru 48th, Ecuador 57th and Nicaragua 69th.
At the top, the U.S., Denmark, Norway, France and the Netherlands occupy the top 5.
