Fruitière invests in Antwerp port

The new website of Fruitère in the port of Antwerp will be able to manage 200,000 pallets of fruit per year.
Fruitère and Euroports have together invested €8.2 million in a new warehouse.
The project comprises a storage area with dry and refrigerated warehouses covering 13,950m2. It is located at the Breakbulk Terminal, Pier 1207, Vrasene dock on the left bank. Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013.
EuroFruitPorts, the joint venture set up by Fruitère
and Euroports, operates this site, primarily for bananas from Africa. An annual volume of 200,000 pallets of fruit is expected.
Fruitère is the largest producer of fruits in Africa. The company is still 60% owned by the founding family with the remaining 40% owned by the Dole company.
