Queensland bananas hit by cyclone

The Queensland banana industry is facing a crisis after much of the crop was destroyed by the recent Hurricane Larry. Crop losses reached 100 percent in some parts of the state, and Australian Banana Growers' Council President Patrick Leahy said: "The majority of Australian bananas are grown in tropical north Queensland, so this is a complete disaster for our industry."
