With its many member companies, PROEXPORT concentrates more than 70% of regional production.
PROEXPORT (Asociación de Productores-Exportadores de Frutas y Hortalizas de la Región de Murcia) celebrated its 40th anniversary at its recent annual meeting.
The meeting analyzed the main challenges facing the sector, such as water resources and adaptation to market needs. The speakers recalled the history of the association.
Started in 1977 with only 14 companies members, PROEXPORT registered a good development. The association now has 52 companies, groups of companies and cooperatives engaged in production and export (tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, melons ...).
