Felix Instruments shares video interview on the F-750 Quality Meter
The F-750 Produce Quality Meter by Felix Instruments is a portable tool that uses near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to estimate quality metrics in fruits such as dry matter, Total Soluble Solids (or brix), color, and titratable acidity.
In the video, a PhD holder in agronomy and environmental sciences and MSc in bioinformatic, Alberto De Marcos, chats with Application Scientist Galen George, to analyze the functionality of the F-750.
The interview highlights how De Marcos, along with his team at Semillas Fitó, explored the use of NIRS to breed better varieties of 7 solanaceae and cucurbit crops: pepper, tomato, eggplant, zucchini, cucumber, melon, and watermelon.
