Positive outlook for the orange Ribera DOP

The 2014-15 season has just begun for the Ribera orange DOP (Denominazione d'Origine Protetta).

Crops have started with the variety "Navelina" considered excellent variety in terms of quality and taste, although the expected volumes are down by 20%.

The outlook is very positive for the varieties "Brasiliano" and "Washington navel" which should mature in the second half of December. Here too the quality looks excellent, despite expected returns down by 5 to 10% and greater presence of small fruits due to prolonged drought.

The Consortium of oranges from Ribera DOP provides for major development operations for Riberella brand, the marketing brand. Prmotions on Italian markets, central and northern regions of Italy are major markets for orange Ribera DOP but also further expansion in the European markets. Especially in Germany with "Organic Riberella."
