Spanish onion exports to Brazil

The Catalan Association of Onion Growers and Distributors (Cebacat) plans to export onion to Brazil. According to agreements between the two countries, about 200 tons of onions would be exported each week from Barcelona to Brazil. This action would be the first joint step for all the different companies members of Cebacat. Cebacat, which also studies the possibility of building an onion waste collection and treatment centre meant for chemical industry to be used as natural anti-oxidant or else as food additive.
