Good harvest for Walnuts

2012 production of AOP walnuts will be equivalent to that of last year.
The Interprofessional Committee for walnuts estimated production volume of 13,000 tons of production equivalent to that of last year.
Harvesting AOP walnuts officially started on September 26 and will continue until November.
The walnuts are grown on
7,000 hectares (80% in the department of Isère) by 1000 producers and 18 sales companies with 2 cooperatives and nearly 80 producers shippers. 60% of the production is exported.
