Prices for vegetables and fruit in Ukraine start to decrease

This week vegetables-fruit market index shows that prices for this kind of products have started to decrease for the 1^sttime during last 6 weeks in Ukraine.

Market basket cost has fallen down to more than 1%. During this week fruit and vegetables costs have not raised up. Prices for white cabbage and greenhouse vegetables have started to decrease. Last week local consumers’ demand for onions and beet-root has remarkable raised, while the prices for these vegetables have started to fall. Ukrainian fruit market situation remains without significant price changes. But it is worth noticing that demand for fruit has been lower this week comparing to the previous ones.

This situation has created great problems for companies importing fruits to Ukraine.
