Mercosur is the 3rd market integrated into the world after the European Union and the NAFTA.
Israel is the first country outside South America to sign an agreement of free exchange with the Mercosur.
Mercosur means Common market of the South (Mercado Común del Sur in Castillan) and indicates the economic community of the countries of South America: Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Announced officially last month, the agreement has just come into effect at the beginning of the month and will relieve the customs duties for a certain numbers of products among which appear the technologies and the farm produces.
Brazil is the most important commercial partner of Israel in Latin America. This agreement of free exchange should triple the bilateral business during the next 5 years.
