South Africa's 2005 citrus production is expected to show a slight increase over the 2004 figures.
Sufficient rainfall and normal temperatures in most growing areas are behind an expected 0.7 percent increase in production.
Citrus exports in 2004 amounted to 1.12 million tonnes, with the EU being the main market with a share of 44 percent, followed by The Middle East with 11 percent.
