For 2017 Spanish exports grew by 3% in value according to FEPEX estimates.
FEPEX expects exports of fresh fruits and vegetables to be up to 13 000 million euros in 2017, a growth of 3% compared to 2016. These exports will total 12.6 million tons, a volume equivalent to 2016.
Both volume and price variations, attributable to both adverse weather conditions and diverse market demands, show that diversity is one of the industry's key strengths to sustain growth.
In 2018, FEPEX has set itself a priority objective to contribute to the growth of the sector, by strengthening consolidation measures and the diversification of sales, both in foreign and domestic markets. In this sense, FRUIT ATTRACTION, which will celebrate its 10th edition from 23 to 25 October 2018, has become a major promotional tool, contributing to the diversification of markets.
