Exports to Europe jumped by 35%

Excellent results for US sweet potatoes in European markets.

According to ASPMI (American Sweet Potato Marketing Institute) exports to Europe jumped by 35% in 2015. Reaching the amount of USD 92 million , an amount never reached before. Exports to the rest of the world also established a record, USD 138 million for the year.

ASPMI led a campaign among European consumers and also conducted a study to better know their habits. Thus, the number of European consumers buying sweet potatoes several times a week increased by 183 % and the number of consumers who specifically bought US sweet potatoes increased by 150%.
