Alliance of Bonduelle and Ardo in Spain
MD
The two leading European frozen vegetables, the French Bonduelle and the Belgian Ardo will create a joint venture for industrial markets in Spain and Portugal.
This joint venture will combine the production site of Benimodo (Bonduelle) and the packaging and storage site of Marcilla (Ardo). The new entity will be owned equally by the two groups.
Thanks to the synergies, Bonduelle and Ardo intend to establish a competitive structure of production to frozen markets of the Iberian Peninsula.
The new company will represent an annual turnover of around 100 million Euros, with 90,000 tons of frozen products. It will feed the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
