Creation of the "Leading Organic Alliance"

Eight of the largest organizations in Europe have formed the "Leading Organic Alliance" to develop and protect organic standards, share best practices in agriculture and certifications.

The Alliance is composed of: Bio Austria (Austria), Bioforum (Belgium), CAAE (Spain), Debio (Norway), ICEA (Italy), Krav (Sweden), Naturland (Germany) and Soil Association (UK) .

These organizations came together to achieve their goals more effectively rather than working separately. They share a common vision of a truly organic world, as encapsulated in the principles of the International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements (IFOAM): health, ecology, fairness and care.

 
The coordinator of the Alliance is the CAAE, Spanish organization.
