This year, Pakistan's mango exports could reach a total volume of 120 000 tonnes.
This would increase the total planned by 42% compared to the volume achieved last year, 84 000 tonnes of mangoes.
TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan), the Authority for the development of trade, explains this growth by increasing production but also by the increasing market demand.
For example, Australia, Libya, Mauritius and South Korea resumed Pakistan mango imports after a ban of ten years. In these countries the Pakistan mangoes demand rose sharply as well as the demand from Japan which increased as dramatically.
Exports countries of Fruits & Vegetables will certainly increase further after the completion of "China Pakistan Economic Corridor" which will facilitate trade with China and Central Asian states.
