Halloween benefits French pumpkins. Indeed, pumpkin farming would have increased by 20% between 1996 and 1999. Production has gone up from 21 700 tons in 1996 to 30 100 tons in 2000, that is to say a 38,7% rise. Poitou in France is the main sending region and sales of Halloween pumpkin represent a turnover of FF25 million.
