This 3-day Congress included visits to PKF / Post Pallets BV and Meilink BV, cultural activities and a day's work. Among the interventions noted was that of Ms. Marianne Muller, from the Environment Department of the European Commission. Taking stock of circular economy projects and the revision of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive 94/62 / EC which is under way. The concept of cicular economy is becoming more and more important and wood is the best example.
Wood is the only truly renewable and sustainable material. In the life cycle analyzes of raw materials, wood products are always more efficient than plastic products. For a sustainable future economy the EU needs to provide even more support to the sector.
