Poland has started to import tomatoes

Due to the latest data lack of local tomatoes supply triggered growth of import  volumes of tomatoes. Earlier this season Italy has started to supply tomatoes to Polish domestic vegetables market. This week Poland has started to purchase tomatoes from Spain. Currently, wholesale prices for tomatoes delivered from Italy comprise 4,4 – 4,8 EURO box (5 kg), for tomatoes imported  from Spain – 5,3 - 5,6 box (5 kg). Local tomatoes are available at 4, 8 – 5,8 EURO box (6 kg).
