Spain to host the XIII International Mango Symposium

The Symposium, which brings together scientists and researchers from all over the world, will take place for its next edition in Spain (photo ISHM La Mayora).
At the XII International Mango Symposium which took place recently in Baise City (China) the choice for the XIIIth edition focused on Spain.
This XIIIth edition is scheduled for October 2020 and will be organized by ISHM La Mayora (Instituto de Hortofruticultura Subtropical y Mediterránea) located in Algarrobo (Málaga). This designation is an international recognition according to the organizers of the next Symposium.
The mango sector is still "young" in Spain but it is of major importance. The region of Málaga and the tropical coast of Granada which concentrate Spanish production are the most remote mango areas of Ecuador. Scientists stress the importance of studying fruit in a more Mediterranean environment.
