Launching of Aircoolbox at Asia Fruit Logistica 2016 in Hong Kong
Current temperature control solutions can be expensive, labour intensive, require multiple handling and waste valuable aircraft space and weight. Often the packaging can only be used 1 way and requires costly disposal at destination contrary to environmental priorities. Perishable products are often damaged or ruined when exposed to excessive heat for hours especially during aircraft loading and unloading. The Aircoolbox is the solution.
Aircoolbox manager, Ms Keith Packer underlines:
"When compared to Expanded Polystyrene Boxes and Frozen Gel Packs, shipping perishables from Asia to UK with Aircoolbox delivers savings of over 20% on the airfreight costs per kilo. The unique temperature control technology of Aircoolbox eliminates the need for additional thermal insulation, gel packs and blankets, ensuring you fit the very maximum amount of product in your airfreight space."
Industry estimates are that up to 20% of perishables shipped by airfreight are ruined, damaged or have reduced shelf lives due to incorrect temperature control during transportation. New thermal technology of Aircoolbox is proven to keep product fresh. Consistent temperature, means better product quality at destination, with longer shelf lives.
Throwaway packaging is bulky and easily damaged, plus frozen gel packs and thermal blankets add weight to shipments and increase airfreight costs. This solution reduces wastage and ensures an environmentally-friendly approach to packaging and distribution.
Aircoolbox will participate for the first time at Asia Fruit Logistica (6---9 September 2016 in Hong Kong) Stand G-33.
